Sounds like I lost right? Guess again, because I just made a pretty amazing trade. After several days of investigating possible trades, pondering on the choices to be made I finally found something very much worth my while, and potentially yours! I traded the Gameboy and all of its accessoires for a voucher which can be cashed in for the creation of a professional website and your very own internet domain by Khols Design!

Koen: Choices

I've had an interesting last 24 hours. After receiving the Wolfgang smartphone, I instantly went looking for the next trade. My post on marktplaats.nl and speurders.nl received a lot of attention, with a lot of offers being made for the phone. The first one was made by a man named Chris who called me to say thad he had a lot of old used childrens toys, which he wanted to swap for the Wolfgang. I politely declined, hoping to receive better offers. By the end of the evening, I had some serious offers on the table. I asked helped on our facebook page, where the poll stated I should take the Toshiba Folio 100 tablet. Another option was a slightly old homemade Desktop Dualcore computer.

I still wasn't 100% convinced about all offers, and decided to wait till the next morning to see if any other offers would be made. When climbing in to bed, my phone buzzed and I had received an email from Paul. He offered me a bass guitar from his massive collection. I mailed back that I would like an amplifier with it, and he agreed! The trade was made, a Wolfgang Smartphone for an Axtech bass guitar, a Yamaha 3000B amplifier, a connection cord and a travel bag for the guitar. I'm extremely happy I waited for this offer, as it easily doubles the worth of the smartphone! A step forward has again been taken!

The trading adventure begins!

After some well deserved sleeping (apparently that's what I was doing) it's time for my first blog post! In the past few days I have made some intriguing trades and to be honest, I have been fiddling around with them for quite a bit, because the cool part about trading is all the exploring all the objects that make your way.

The first trade with Henny resulted in the obtainment of this fine book on nature in Europe.

Heaving looked at most of the pictures, I decided it was time to trade further and managed to trade with Hendrick and get my hands on this second hand acoustic guitar!

Awesome to be able to play some guitar, sadly I cant so I was off to trade it again! This time Maarten, an old friend of mine, was able to help me out as he preferred playing with an instrument to playing with this handheld gaming console with 13 games!

I have to admit, these games are addictive! Anyone out there wanting to trade? Let me know!

After turning down numerous offers for the driving lessons, ranging from 5 rabbits to an ikea closet, I have snapped up the next item in my trading campaign. The next item I will be trading is a  new Wolfgang Smartphone (AT-AS45IPS). This is a 4.5 inch touchscreen phone, running on Android 4.1 with a 8 megapixel camera. I am very excited about this trade, because the phone gets very good reviews (http://www.consumentenbond.nl/test/elektronica-communicatie/computers/tablet-pc/wolfgang/aldi-wolfgang-at-as-45-ips/) and is worth 229 euro in the shops. It als comes with two cases and a headset.

Driving forward

You would expect a message from Justin.. but no! If you have seen him, please contact us because we are worried! Today was an extremely busy day, so not a lot of time for trading. Luckily for me, my driving instructor Inge was able to help me. She offered me three driving lessons for free to swap for the coffee machine. This is worth 37,50 x 3 = 112,50 so I'm very happy! So now I am looking for someone in the area of Middelburg who needs driving lessons, or who is taking driving lessons from Inge already, who wants to offer me something for the 3 free lessons! Bastiaan: Higher Stakes

Now you probably expected a post by Justin. As far as I know, he may still be asleep. But winners don't sleep. Winners respond to emails about their Marktplaats post as late as 23:30 at night, and go to Zaandam to trade as early as 10:30 the next morning. I'm proud to say that I've broken the €500 boundary already (theoretically, anyway, if it were new) with a Phil & Teds Explorer Children's Buggy!!

Koen: And so it begins

6:30 AM, my alarm goes. To get a headstart on Bastiaan and Justin, I wanted to start early and prepared. Well, mostly for Bastiaan because Justin is not really a morning person. And just to show that I was prepared, I did have a paperclip ready to start the challenge with. The first trade was one to get me going, not a real big leap yet. The lovely Yara traded me a blue bath duck called Smurf. 

The blue duck stayed with me till after lunch, when after a lot of persuasion I managed to trade Smurf for a Breaker Cobra Binocular 750 from Nico. I felt that this was the first step to 'significance' and hoped that this would give me the lead over Bastiaan and Justin. Well.. Justin was probably still sleeping. At the end of the day I made my best trade. I managed to swap the Cobra 750 for a Senseo Coffee Pad machine from Yemisi and Matthias. I'm happy with the start I made, and will continue this good run of form tomorrow!
